Karl A. Oglesby is a gifted poet/ author, lyricist, songwriter , artist and
powerfully inspiring inspirational & motivational speaker called by God
to minister to the broken-hearted (and suffering) and to take His message
of peace to the world . He has been writing poetry for over 20 yrs.

his literary gift to the glory of God and the establishment of His Kingdom
in all the earth.
Most of his poetry is cause oriented as he frequently writes in support of
or as an advocate for those who have suffered greatly (for ex: the
persecuted church, the anti-slavery movement, anti-violence, victims of
church burnings and the holocausts and the broken-hearted; he is also often
commissioned to write Living Legacy poems which he describes as being oil
paintings painted with words, which describe a loved one's life,
personality and etc.) Mr. Oglesby, who prefers to be known as Brother Karl,
was born in New Rochelle, New York, grew up in Columbia, SC and is a
graduate of Talladega College, Talladega, AL.; the Business Institute of
Technology, Cedar Falls, IA and has completed a year of graduate work at
the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA.; he is currently studying
for the ministry at The W.L. Bonner Bible College, Columbia, SC and through
the Global University-Berean School of the Bible. He is a member of Refuge
Temple Church located in Columbia, SC at the Southern regional Hdqtrs. of
The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Of the Apostolic Faith, pastored by
Chief Apostle William L. Bonner. Mr. Oglesby is also founder & CEO of
Metamorphosis Ministries USA/Int'l (A Ministry, advocacy and human rights
org. which advocates, aids and supports persecuted Christians and other
exploited and oppressed people/ Mr. Oglesby most recently traveled to Cuba
in May of 2005), and owner of Metamorphosis Press Publishing USA (a
publishing consulting firm for authors who self publish) and the
Metamorphosis Press Gallery (which represents his celebrated artwork/To

Mr. Oglesby's artwork & poetry are collected by art lovers everywhere
and is also represented by The Cameo Art Gallery, in the Congaree Vista,
Columbia, SC, The Art Shack Gallery on Rosewood Drive in Columbia, SC and
is also displayed at 'Mac's On Main', a celebrated restaurant and local
landmark in downtown Columbia, SC. He is also a member of the Rosewood Arts
Guild of Columbia.
He was the host for the 'Victory Is Grace!' Inspirational Radio Program on
WQXL 1470 AM radio in Columbia, SC and has appeared as a featured guest on
many radio & TV talk shows and news programs, as well as been a
featured guest inspirational & motivational speaker at many churches,
prisons (where over 500 inmates gave their lives to Christ as a result),
non-profit and charitable organizations, colleges & universities/public
schools and literary & visual arts festivals, book fairs and similar
events.
His poetry has been recognized and published in many newspapers and
magazines and been referenced, read and recited by pastors, students and
educational professionals alike. He has also been the recipient of awards
and recognition for his oratorical excellence.
He is a registered and juried member of the South Carolina Arts Commission
as a Literary Artist, and his literary work has been recognized by The
White House, the Ambassador of Kuwait, the Gov. of the state of South
Carolina, Dr. D. James Kennedy, Bishop T. D. Jakes, the Baroness Caroline
Cox (Prince Charles' second cousin) and many others around the world.
He is the proud father of three children and grandfather of one grandchild.
He has authored over 1000 poems including his latest book of inspirational
